Elvea supports Pink Ribbon
Every year, there are 10,500 new breast cancer patients in Belgium. That's as many as 29 new cases per day, making breast cancer the most common form of cancer in our country.
Thanks to Pink Ribbon, the quality of life for patients improves and societal costs are further reduced.
Healthy eating and exercise for cancer prevention
It has been scientifically proven that each of the following recommendations can individually protect the body against breast cancer.
However, the WKOF recommends applying them all together as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Three concise and simple recommendations to reduce cancer risk:
1. Maintain a healthy weight
2. Get moving
3. Eat plenty of whole grain products., vegetables in fruit
The Belgian eats too few vegetables.
According to the “Global Burden of Disease” project, insufficient vegetable consumption ranks 5th among dietary factors with the greatest impact on the number of healthy life-years lost. The most recent food consumption survey shows that in Belgium, only 5% of the population (aged 3 to 64) meets the recommendations for vegetables.
Eating more vegetables therefore remains a real priority. Tomato products offer a convenient and versatile solution in that regard to meet that objective.
Voor Elvea gaan ‘lekker’ en ‘gezond’ hand in hand. Alle Elvea producten zijn namelijk 100% natuurlijk.
The collaboration between Elvea and Pink Ribbon fits perfectly with Elvea's commitment to sustainability and healthy eating.
To highlight this collaboration, ELVEA will, among other things, distribute 15,000 wooden spoons at the point of sale.
