Ingredients

4 persons

  • puff pastry
  • 1 box ELVEA Tomato and Vegetables
  • 3 Italian sausages
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 14 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  2. 2

Squeeze the sausages out and roll the meat into small balls. If you were unable to find sausages, mix 200g of minced meat with 2 tsp of fennel seeds and roll into small balls.

  3. 3

Roll out your dough and place it on a baking sheet. Poke some holes in it with a fork.

  4. 4

Mix the Elvea Pomo e Legumi with 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp of sugar, and season with pepper and salt. Spread the dough with this mixture.

  5. 5

Top this now with the cherry tomatoes and the meatballs. You can make rows or you can just dump everything on it. Whatever works for you.

  6. 6

Bake the cake in the oven for 20 minutes.

  7. 7

Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and sauté the onion on a low heat until tender. After 5 minutes, add 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar and stir well. Season with pepper and salt.

  8. 8

Take the sheet tart out of the oven and spoon the onion on top. Finish with fresh basil.

  9. 9

    Serve with a salad.

    Buon appetito!
