One pot orzo with chicken meatballs

Ingredients

  • 500 Gram chicken minced
  • 150 Gram breadcrumbs
  • 1 eggs
  • olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves look, finely chopped
  • 400 Gram ELVEA Cubes
  • 400 milliliter butternut
  • twigs chicken broth
  • 50 milliliter Orzo
  • 4 tablespoons fresh thyme
  • drops room
  • 1 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • lemon juice
  • fresh parsley
  • pepper
  • salt

Preparation

    Mix the minced meat with the breadcrumbs and egg. Then roll balls out of it. Fry the balls in a dash of oil in a large pot on the stove.

    Add the onion, garlic and diced butternut. Sauté briefly and then moisten with the diced tomatoes and chicken stock.

    Add the orzo and season further with thyme, pepper and salt. Simmer until the orzo is tender and has fully absorbed the liquid. Stir frequently.

    When the orzo is cooked, mix another dash of cream into the dish. Then finish it with grated Parmesan cheese, some lemon juice and zest and chopped parsley.
