One-pot stuffed peppers with rice, minced meat, and cubes, Bosnian style
Ingredients
4 persons
- 4 bell peppers
- 267 grams of uncooked white rice
- 267 grams mixed ground meat
- 267 gram ELVEA Cubes
- 5.5 tablespoons flour
- 5.5 tablespoons paprika
- 1.5 deciliters olive oil
- 3 tablespoons Garlic Powder
- 3 tablespoons dried onions
- pepper
- salt
- dried parsley
Preparation
-
1
Get a bowl and add the (uncooked) rice, minced meat, Elvea cubes, 2 tbsp paprika powder, dried parsley, garlic herbs, dried onion, and 2 tbsp olive oil. Then mix everything very well until it becomes a single mass.
-
2
Core the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Then fill them with the mixture. Press it down well so the peppers are packed full.
-
3
Place a Dutch oven or large lidded pot over the heat. Fill the entire bottom with olive oil and let it heat up.
-
4
Add the flour to the Dutch oven and continue stirring until it becomes a nice yellow mixture with the oil. Once this is a smooth mixture, add another 2 tablespoons of paprika powder and continue mixing until this is also completely incorporated into the mixture.
-
5
Next, add 500ml of boiling water and place the stuffed peppers in it.
-
6
Set the heat to medium and add more water until the bell peppers are almost completely submerged.
-
7
Put the lid on the pan and let it cook for 40 minutes.
-
8
After 40 minutes, remove the lid from the pot and the Dutch oven from the heat.
